AuditionsWatch for the audition schedule for Nashirah's 2008-2009 season!>> Interested?? Complete the email REQUEST FOR AUDITION/INFORMATION section below << Procedure:1. Applicant will schedule an audition (use the e-mail link provided above. Auditions are conducted by appointment ONLY. 2. Applicant should prepare a song (preferably, but not necessarily, an art song or aria in a language other than English). The piece need not be memorized. Please bring an additional copy of the music. An accompanist will be provided. 3. In addition to the prepared piece, applicant’s musical skills will be evaluated in the following areas: (1) sight-reading ability; (2) tonal memory and (3) rhythmic accuracy. 4. Applicant will be asked to vocalize in order to evaluate his/her vocal range. 5. Applicant has read and is able to comply with the terms of membership. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time. We look forward to meeting you. |
